What Is Really Mean by "Racism", "Feminism", "Womanism" and "Princessism"

As ye might know wee us is still here, all the others already quit...

Three of us have talked about and we have a decision...

As whom started this I would like be the one whom ended all this.

We have been talking and expressing ourselves about "Racism", "Feminism", "Womanism" and "Princessism" also some issues of women and princesses.

These are all of us outside of the Disney story...

but facing the truth, we are not human, we don't have a life but we are portrayed by human, we reflect people. We have been having a chance writing here as that we are alive. But the time here can't ;ast long.

And back to the reality, you will know what is really THE Racism and The Women Issues...

and they are...

This Post Is Really the "So-called Song Analysis" - Cindy

Rapunz you are always saying how amazing everyone is, well you are too and I am never that amazing like you. Why? I am doing song analysis, analysing just a little, very very little from every song - well not even every song. HAHA!

"With a Smile And a Song"

"Your cares fade away And your heart is young"
What interested is "cares" and "young". As a princess, what we think that she should be is to let all her worries and cares go completely away and that her "heart is young". This has two interpretations 1. girls should be innocent and this is valuable: heart says young can also mean being as innocent as child 2. Girls shouldn't struggle - no worries - hence she is not the one taking care about some very important issues.

"A Dream Is a Wish your Heart Makes"

"In dreams you will loose your heartache. Whatever you wish for you keep"
"Once Upon a Dream"

"But if I know you, I know what you'll do. You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream"
Actually when I sing and listen to the songs I was a bit depressed and it was kinda pain... because seems like everything that is painless will only stay in the dream. So that's something we haven't found out - Disney was already kinda dark in the early days conveying fantasy and reality - so that princess are the only one who will say "DREAM comes true", well everything is just a dream...that's...well, sad! "If" is also an unrealistic word but also these are the power of imaginations and dream that conveyed how the innocent heart is going to be helped to achieve their dreams.

"Poor Unfortunate Soul"

"I admit that in the past I've been a nasty. They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch"
"I use it on behalf. Of the miserable, the lonely, and depressed (pathetic)"

"You'll have your looks, your pretty face. And don't underestimate the importance of body language"

The reason why do I pick a villain's song 1. compare and contrast, showing the illustration of the princesses 2. showing how people sees women. The song generally give a contrast on how innocent and how weak and insecure for a purely good and clean teenage girl, miserable, lonely, depress...pathetic?? When I saw the word "pathetic" I was wondering why was that used so I search up the dictionary and the meaning that I found was: arousing pity. But why were girls/ women always being seen as the weak ones and is needed to be pity of? A less obvious message: about "witch". Why are women so extreme: they are either so weak/ pathetic or so evil, nasty , witch...? Why how come there's no in between? (well...until Jasmine's production starting to get better...perhaps between Belle's Jas's and Poca's)

"Belle"

"Now it's no wonder that her name means beauty, her looks have got no parallel. But behind that fair facade, I'm afraid she's rather odd"
"Very different from the rest of us"
"It's a pity and a sim. She doesnt quite fit in"
"She's gorgeous and I fell...... So I'm making plans to woo and marry Belle"

One thing I'm so curious is why does the town people are always talking about you Belle?! Well I don't really sure shy does read = doesn't fit in. And this is also why "beauty" is so important. Well I'm kinda confused. It's even like a...sin? That you don't fit in because no one else stays in their dreams and vision or they don't even like to think? I just...well it's strange...

 "Just Around The River Bend"

"To be safe we lose our chance of ever knowing"
"What I dream the day might send just around the river bend, For me, coming for me"
"Can I ignore that sound of distant drumming?"
"For a handsome sturdy husband who builds handsome sturdy walls. And never dreams that something might be coming"
"Or do you still wait for me, dream-giver, just around the river bend?"
"Should I choose the smoothest course steady as the beating drum?"
I really love every every songs from "Pocahontas", I am not going to be boring so I will just do a quick writeup. As I have seen the previous stories was less concerning on nature and environment but starting from Poca's there are a lot of concerns on environment and nature and also a boarder range of messages are being brought to the audiences. This is like how a real princess within has relate her internal self to the world around her and this is very remarkable. Another point of view is the messages to the native Americans and for powhatan this is also one of the aspect on how American are seeing them, describing their believes on nature and some god. And more,

"Colors Of The Wind"

"But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, You'll learn things you never knew you never knew"
"How high will the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know"
"For weather we are white or copper skinned. We need to sing with all the voices of teh mountains. We need to paint with all the colors of the wind"
I know that Disney was starting to have some changes to their princesses movies from the time of Poca's creation, there was a concern on racism, especially promoting the message of racism through Native American and British society, between different skin colors. As a "servant girl" at home I did learn and I did have time to talk to my friends and I am good at English. With some analysis techniques, I am going to describe the title "Colors" is actually a metaphor of different people and things living around us that we might not have a notice on. The song relates especially to nature and environment but what I think the main point of it is not promoting the messages relating to environmental caring but that is just a supporting element, when you see this here "For whether we are white or copper skin". We needa "sing with all the voices of the mountains" and "paint with all the colors of the wind" the main point is "white or copper skin", this is that - different people that needs to get together and we share the same world, we are all people why can't we look at things together, like seeing :how high will the sycamore grow" but not seeing the differences between people. Why not the similarities but the differences? (BTW some professional people are saying a goos analysis should use quotations of only a few words, because if you quote 3 words, you should explain it with 30 words. I am making a good one here, hah!)

"Savages"

"Savages! Savages! Barely even human!"

So this is another prove about the idea of racism (ok so this is very obviously I have nothing to write)

"I'll Make A Man Out Of You"

"Be a man we must be swift as a coursing river, Be a man with all the force of a great typhoon. Be a man with all the strength of a raging fire. Mysterious as the dark side of the moon."

Disney started at that time of Mul's creation on how Disney is promoting sexism and feminism. Well but the message is kinda obvious here...don't need much explanation.

"Reflection"

"I will never pass for a perfect bride, or a perfect daughter. Can it be I'm not meant to play this part?"
"Now I see, that if I were truly to be myself. I would break my family's heart."

I was wondering...are these words only comes from a girls' tongue? But in another saying this is also a reflection of orientalism like Mul what you said before.

"Almost There"

OK so in here, I'm doing something a bit more unconventional. I don't want to analyze the lyrics, I am analysing the MUSIC - melody! SURPRISE! First of all, New Orleans is famed for jazz and this is a reflection of culture and thoughts.

See the music sheet here (first page only though) - ok so what I'm going to say is mainly about the structure of the chords and the scientist experiment related to how jazz effect brain. This song uses completely the blues scale that is formed by: C E G A. In advance the chord progressions is very sustain and clear with a really good sequence relating to the blues scale. The chords are based on four notes' chords: C Major chord, E Major chord, G major chord, D major chord. Exactly same as the blues scale. And it goes like: C A G C D G D. It is random, repeated yet not a single chord is written exactly the same. One of the technique of Jazz music is IMPROVISATION. So that there is a hidden message of creativity and ability. Also that the randomness of jazz music is also a way of shaping - self expressions (also this is how jazz affect the brain and creativity) and this also tells the self discovery of Tian throughout her process of turning into a frog, finding what is it really mean by a dream going through women, race and issues of non-human living thins (but with human being) and supernatural. So there is a boarder message!

"I See The Light"

(Rapunzel I don't wanna challenge you and also I'm getting lazy to write so... I already challenged Tian...*whisper* I won't do that again on you again...I'm already stupid enough!!!)

"A Whole New World"

(I'm getting very lazy and I don't wanna mess with you spicy women, so...)

*But just one thing...why does these two song both have a line: (if she's here) (but when I'm way up here) It's crystal clear. Yea why...?

So...princesses (and everyone else...) YOU NOW SEE THE CHANGES ALONG WITH THE TIME OF DISNEY PRINCESSES' CREATIONS!!!
